Adult Acne: Blasting Zits Into Oblivion

My name is Jamie Turner and when I turned 22, I started to form a horrible case of acne. I used every cleanser and lotion I could find and I even asked my physician for a topical steroid cream to clear up the zits on my face. After six months of treatment, my physician completed a blood test that concluded that a hormone imbalance was causing my acne. I started on therapy to control the amount of estrogen my body produced. The therapy along with a good diet and exercise regimen helped to clear up my acne. I am sharing my story, because acne is not just a condition that affects teenagers. It can affect adults at any age, and it can cause a great deal of embarrassment. Don't let your acne go untreated. Read my blog instead and learn about both natural and medical treatments that can help you.

Three Natural Ingredients To Cure Your Acne

Health & Medical Blog

Acne can be embarrassing, especially if you have just started high school. Don't let pimples hide your face away from others. You can cure it with one of the three ingredients listed below.

This sweet fruit is actually a main ingredient in many facial cleanser and creams today. Papaya is used to remove dead skin and dirt from the surface of your skin, making it harder for acne to form. It also removes excess oils and harmful bacteria that causes pus to build up. A natural vitamin found in the papaya fruit is called papain and it actually reduces inflammation in the skin.

Papayas are very simple to use when trying to guard your face against acne. Simply smash one papaya in a bowl and apply it to your face. After the fruit has been sitting for fifteen minutes, rinse your face clean with warm water. You can apply a papaya mask three to four times a week for the it to be the most effective.

Apple Cider Vinegar

This ingredient is among the best at curing acne and keeping it away because it kills the harmful bacteria that builds up on your face throughout the day. Apple cider vinegar balances out your skin's natural pH so that bacteria and acne can't grow. It also works as an astringent, so any excess oil in your skin will be dried up.

In a small bowl, combine one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with three tablespoons of water. Use a cotton ball to apply the solution the acne on your face. You can leave this solution on overnight and reapply in the morning. If you feel that your skin is dry after the treatment, you can apply a little moisturizer.

Oranges are full of vitamin C and citric acid, which are both great for removing bacteria, oils and dead skin from your face. Like the apple cider vinegar, oranges also work as an astringent so it will reduce the bacteria and oils that are found in your skin, making it harder for pimples to form. Because of the vitamin C that is found in oranges, your skin will begin to produce more healthy skin cells so your face will look clearer and brighter.

To make this acne solution, grind up two orange peels into a little bowl of water. You will only want to add a little amount of water so that you form a paste. Apply this mixture to your face and let it sit for twenty minutes. When you rinse of the mask, you will immediately notice that your skin is smoother.

No one has to know that you suffer from acne. Zap those pesky zits away by using one of the natural ingredients listed above. Your skin will thank you for it.
